The Spyderco Mantra 2 includes a precision-machined ergonomic handle with twin solid titanium scales, a robust Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism with a hardened stainless steel interface, and a lightweight, easy-to-clean, open-backed construction style. The Mantra 2's unique blade is crafted from high-performance CPM M4 tool steel--a powder metallurgy steel specially formulated for toughness, superior wear resistance, and edge retention. The blade's narrow, utilitarian, drop-point profile is somewhat reminiscent of a filet knife, but is ideally suited to a broad range of cutting tasks. Although it includes a Trademark Round Hole, the Mantra 2's blade is designed only for flipper-style opening. An integral flipper at the base of the blade and special ball bearing washers in the pivot allow the knife to be swiftly and easily opened with a stroke of the index finger of either hand. For convenience and ease of carry, the Mantra 2 also includes a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that supports both left and right-side tip up carry.
